We are pleased to have been chosen by Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority to provide the Latitude Testing Toolkit, a complete package including test materials, Standard Operating Procedures and training for staff to conduct tests based on ICAO document 9835, Manual on the implementation of Language Proficiency Requirements. Training will take place in Kigali, Rwanda in January 2017.
Language training for Air Traffic Controllers
We have recently completed a two-week training course in the UK for air traffic control officers from the Principality of Monaco. Training included 50 hours of classroom instruction and professional visits to a variety of organisations including a guided flight on the E170/190 simulator at Flybe Training Academy with Latitude's Captain Dennis Gliddon.
Training for student ATSEPs in Estonia
We have recently completed a training programme for student Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel for Estonian Aviation Academy in Tartu, Estonia. Training focused on developing and consolidating oral language proficiency skills and vocabulary through a focus on the concepts central to ATSEP and presents the key lexis encountered in ATSEP documentation.
Foundation now available
Foundation is a brand new aviation English e-learning course for student pilots and air traffic controllers. Accessible on a range of devices including smartphones and iPads, Foundation provides extensive training in the skills and language required for successful English-medium aviation training and covers a range of topics from meteorology and powerplant to air law and ATC systems. This groundbreaking course - the first of its kind - is now available to individual and corporate customers.
Latitude at EATS 2016
Latitude's managing director, Henry Emery, will speak about English language proficiency for successful aviation training at the European Airline Training Symposium in Berlin on 1st November.
